The Multicultural INSPIRE Awards was founded by Dr. Tru Powell — award-winning entrepreneur, broadcaster, speaker and passionate advocate for celebrating people.
Affectionately known as the Founder & Chief of Vibes, Tru believes awards should be about far more than trophies. They should create unforgettable experiences, celebrate extraordinary people and leave every guest feeling inspired long after the evening has ended.
For over two decades, Tru has worked within the events industry, producing experiences that bring people together and create lasting impact. For almost 15 years, he has led major awards programmes, recognising thousands of individuals, businesses and community organisations from across the UK.
Throughout his career, one thing has remained constant — a passion for creating platforms that help other people succeed. Whether through awards, media, performing arts, mentoring, speaking or personal branding, Tru has dedicated his career to helping people become more visible, more credible and more confident.
